How Does the Senior Ministry Relate to the Vision & Mission
of the Body of Christ at Metro?
Praise & Worship: When we are together, seniors will share the things that God has done for us in our lives, manifesting his goodness in praise and worship (Psalm 34:1-3). We also have a unique opportunity to teach, to share, and to model what it’s like to live a life of worship during this phase of our lives.
Restoration & Healing: In the sharing of our praise and worship, seniors will be able to be open; to be transparent; to be able to receive healing and restoration; and to get their needs met.
Bible Teaching and Fellowship: In our study of the scriptures, seniors will be strengthened in their thinking. In our network of seniors, we’ll establish a support system for when they feel oppressed, weak, alone or hopeless. Through our Bible study and fellowship there will be opportunities for sharing the wisdom of our sum experiences, encouraging one another, and sharing our testimonies.
Family Growth and Development: God takes the solitary and places us in families so that we may be nurtured, fed, cared for, esteemed and highly
reverenced. Our Senior Ministry is an extension of the family system at Metro. We provide a Place to Belong.
