The Worship and Celebration Arts Department is composed of instrumental, vocal and dance ministries. Our mission is to declare the word of the Lord through artistic expressions in praise unto the Most Holy God and King of Kings. We desire to create an atmosphere of worship where others may come and experience Christ as the Lord and Savior of their lives.
Metro Praise Ensemble (vocal)
2 Chronicles 5:13 says the trumpeters and singers performed together in unison (with one voice) praising and thanking the Lord declaring “He is good and His mercy endures forever”. As they declared His goodness, the glory of the Lord filled the temple.
From the small ensembles to the choir, as we worship our goal is to lead others into the presence of God where His glory can be experienced.
The Musician’s Corner – “SSB”
For decades, dating back to the evangelistic days of Helena Barrington Crusades for Christ, better known as God’s Ambassadors, Helena Barrington WAS the band. However, Metro has grown and been blessed with numerous gifted, anointed musicians to work with the instrumental music ministry. As the musician’s corner was tagged by one of the early elders of Metro as the Sanctified Sanctuary Band, the group of musicians that have ministered during services have also have been active in the community in concerts, at parks, prison evangelism, wedding receptions, music conferences, as well as campus outreach just to name a few. SSB has several recording projects to its credit, with “Play For You” featuring the vocal gifting of the Late Pastor Glenn Bostic, a beloved friend and brother whose spiritual ties date back to his involvement in God’s Ambassadors.
With the instrumental music component being such an integral part of the ministry operation, our musicians are committed to understanding the importance of their personal relationship with Christ so that their musical skills reflect the culture of the kingdom. Although the musicians come from diverse musical backgrounds ranging from Gospel, R&B, Jazz, Caribbean, Hip Hop, and even Classical music, their commitment to relating the Gospel of Christ through music is clear. Excellence in musical performance along with worship given to the Lord is what the Musician’s Corner and the Sanctified Sanctuary Band at Metro Cathedral of Truth is striving for with every note and rhythm that is played.

WINGS of A DOVE Dance Ministry
Wings of a Dove has been an intricate part of the fabric of Metropolitan Cathedral of Truth since its early foundation days. There have been many praise dancers and worshippers in dance that have flowed through the doors of METRO. Many of which have established dance ministries in other cities and towns where they have been called to settle. Members of Wings of a Dove dance ministry accompanies the praise and worship team on Sunday mornings fulfilling the call to “Worship Him in the Dance”. The liberty of the dancers often inspires and encourages others to be free to worship God “in Spirit and in Truth”.
KIDS ‘N THE KINGDOM
MISSION STATEMENT: To expose children from all walks of life to various art forms while teaching them Godly principles of self-esteem, character, and relationship building regardless of their financial class.
Our children have experienced events in painting, dancing, drumming, music, exercise training and other art projects. We are looking to expose them to even more experiences which should not only be fun but also help them to explore their interests while discovering their “hidden talents”.
